Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.27% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 10:14AM(IST)on Thursday in a weak market.

Gland Pharma(up 1.98 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals(up 1.84 per cent), Granules India(up 0.95 per cent), Laurus(up 0.41 per cent) and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals(up 0.4 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Cipla(down 1.45 per cent), Natco Pharma(down 1.09 per cent), Alembic Pharmaceuticals(down 0.63 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma(down 0.63 per cent) and Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 0.52 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.27 per cent at 12540.15 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 46.4 points at 17671.95, while the BSE Sensex was down 162.38 points at 59294.4.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 were trading in the green, while 28 were in the red.

Shares of , YES Bank, PNB, and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of

, , Remsons Ind, and Aarvi Encon hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while , Kopran Ltd, Finolex Inds., . and hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
