Stock market update: FMCG stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading lower on Friday at 10:39AM

Dangee Dums(up 0.97%), Zydus Wellness(up 0.45%), Hindustan Unilever(up 0.38%), Prataap Snacks(up 0.28%) and Britannia Industries(up 0.23%) were among the top gainers.

Nakoda Group(down 3.61%), Emami(down 2.30%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(down 2.08%), Dodla Dairy(down 1.88%), Mrs Bectors Food Specialities(down 1.61%), P & G Hygiene(down 1.51%), Parag Milk(down 1.42%), Tasty Bite Eatables(down 1.35%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 1.29%) and Godrej Consumer Products(down 1.24%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 167.85 points down at 17461.95, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 578.1 points at 58541.62 at around 10:39AM.

Divis Laboratories(up 2.09%), Tata Steel(up 1.59%), Infosys(up 1.21%), HCL Technologies(up 1.01%), ITC(up 0.64%), Cipla(up 0.52%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 0.48%), Hindustan Unilever(up 0.38%),

Enterprises(up 0.32%) and Tata Consultancy(up 0.28%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Power Grid Corporation of India(down 4.02%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 2.8%), IndusInd Bank(down 2.43%), HDFC(down 2.39%), HDFC Bank(down 2.3%), Axis Bank(down 2.24%), Bajaj Finance(down 1.97%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 1.95%), UPL Ltd(down 1.72%) and Hindalco Industries(down 1.65%) were trading in the red.
